What's Coming Up

Greetings MTSN fans. I sit here on Friday evening checking the weather forecast for Summertown, TN tomorrow. As of now the forecast does not look good for racing at Thunderhill. This is disappointing because the SRRS is in town tomorrow with their Super Late Models. Hopefully the rain will stay away for tomorrow evening so there can be a good night of racing. Keep your fingers crossed. Now, on to other sports that are coming up soon. Right now, Craig is currently working on getting our schedule set up for football season. Hopefully we will have a great season of football to bring you each Friday night from around Middle Tennessee. Later in the fall, we will be getting into Hockey season. I told you last week that I cannot wait. Well, I know you are chomping at the bit for hockey or anything hockey related as we swelter in the summer heat. In an effort to take our minds off the heat and to fill the void we feel from a lack of hockey, I am currently in the process of setting up a pre-hockey season show. This show will feature several of the coaches from GNASH teams to include: Defending State Champions Ravenwood Raptors Head Coach Dennis Hagemann, Second Place Centennial High School Head Coach Mark Layne, Pope John Paul II Head Coach Pete Neiman. This will be a fun filled evening of looking back on favorite moments from last season and discussing the upcoming season. I know it will be a blast for us and the coaches, and I hope that each and every one of you will tune in and enjoy as well. I will let you know as soon as the date is scheduled for this event. That's all for now from me. I'll be back next week with a little more entertaining blog. Have a good week.
SEE YA!!!

Hello All

Alright folks, Michael finally gave me the blog account info so here I am in all my glory just for you. Summer is in full swing in Middle Tennessee and we are really enjoying our time on Saturday nights at Thunderhill Raceway. It's definitely different from ice hockey and football, but it is a blast broadcasting a true southern pasttime like dirt track racing. Folks have even said we do a halfway decent job at it. :) Since this is our first time broadcasting any kind of racing, I will take that. I'll also work with Michael so we can improve. hehe. Just kidding Michael. As I said, summer is in full swing here which means I am in total withdrawal symptom mode for hockey and football. I have been talking with some of the GNASH coaches and it should be an interesting season. Everyone of the top contenders has lost seniors and I have been informed that some of the seniors from this year have moved on to different places to try and give themselves a shot at playing at a higher level in their future. I wish those kids all the best as they chase their dreams and I know you do to. However, what this does is open the door to a season full of possibilities. Could one of the other teams come up and compete for the GNASH Cup this year? Only time will tell, but I am excited with the thought of it and I hope you are too. That's all for this first session on here. I'll be back soon with more thoughts. To quote my normal nightly sign off when we are on the air......."SEE YA!"
